Touch exhibition in the Mediterranean Gallery

The sensory course through the Mediterranean Gallery presents tactile interpretations of a dozen or so seminal pieces evocative of the exhibition’s main themes. Dedicated to the visually impaired and the blind, it is an integral part the exhibition and is accessible to all museum guests. Each tactile object is accompanied by a text in large print and in Braille.

Self-guided tours of the tactile exhibition

The multimedia guide includes an audio description providing an in-depth interpretation of the items along the tour. It was designed to be easy for the visually impaired to use. Two models of devices are available. The first one provides for navigation by means of speech synthesis, and the second has keys with large letters. Hire cost: Free for persons with disabilities and a helper. Available from the J4 ticket office.

Sensory tour

A guided sensory tour is dedicated to the tactile exhibition. The mediators combine audio descriptions with a sensory approach (touch, smell and hearing). Price: €5 for the visually impaired person and free for an individual assisting him/her (the presence of a helper is strongly recommended)
