Mental impairments

To best prepare your visit to the museum, we recommend that you read through the practical information.

An accommodating cultural programme

Tactile, sensory tour of the Mucem at the J4

The tactile and sensory route through the Mediterranean Gallery is suitable for visitors with mental impairments. The objects selected for this tour convey the fundamental points of the exhibition’s main themes. In addition, its tactile, sensory dimension allows all visitors to comprehend the objects, through both their intellects and their senses.

The presence of a helper is strongly recommended.

Special programmes

Some of the museum’s programmes were designed to suit visitors with mental impairments.
